Sirmione is a Spa resort in lombardy well-known at international level, located on a peninsula that stretches for 4 km surrounded by the Garda Lake in the area around Brescia.
The thermal water of Sirmione has a meteoric origin and it originates from the impluvium basin of the Balbo Mount at an altitude of 2200 m and then goes down to 2100 metres below the sea where it is enriched with minerals and becomes hot. After a 20-year time the water comes out of the Bojola, Virgilio and Catullo springs at a temperature of 69 degrees.

The little village is part of the municipality of Darfo Boario Terme, in the lower part of Valcamonica, and it is located on the Scalve valley, surrounded by the woods along the Oglio river. It has been a spa resort since 1946, it was also a trade centre and an area for the storage of iron materials. The fame of the thermal waters spread beyond the regional borders because Alessandro Manzoni, after spending a holiday here in 1845, praised it in a letter. The thermal complex is located in the big park rich in plants, mainly coming from the mild areas of Africa and America, an oasis of 14000 square meters.
