Peeling is a treatment to improve and smooth your skin. It can be either superficial or deep. There is a peeling called chemical peeling that is an accelerated exfoliation through the use of a chemical substance. .
Several substances are used: sulphur, pumice, mineral powders, powders obtained from plants and flowers that are finely ground and mixed with substances of plant origin. Let’s see how the different types of peeling act on the skin.

According to Mark G. Rubin, dermatologist at the University of California in San Diego there are 4 different methods of peeling: * Very superficial peeling: it removes the superficial corneous layer. * Superficial peeling: it creates the necrosis of a part or the whole skin layer reaching the basal layer of epidermis.  * Deep peeling: it creates necrosis of the epidermis, papillary derma and may reach the reticular derma.

It is important to undergo treatments or therapies that obtain excellent results at a minimum risk. It is recommended that you undergo some superficial and quite deep peeling sessions to reach the best aesthetic results without undesired risks in the long run.
